New England: "Turn Out the Lights" lyrics

I've always had good luck finding lyrics online; in fact, I'd started to believe I'd never come across a song that somebody somewhere hadn't posted the lyrics for on a website somewhere. Then, tonight, to my amazement, I was reminded of one of my favorite songs from the late 70s and, when I searched, the lyrics were nowhere to be found.

So, here they are, my contribution to the global network of information that we call the web, the lyrics to "Turn Out the Lights" by New England, as best I can recall...

Can you imagine what it would be like
if for just one minute I could turn out the lights
and go back to the days when all of us were younger
and so much stronger - free of any strife?

Please don't misunderstand me. It's not that I'm unhappy.
I've got no regrets - it's just a fantasy.
(chorus)
Do you know - do you know - do you know we'll never
Turn them out - turn them out - turn out the lights
Yes, I know - yes, I know - yes, I know we'll never
Turn them out - turn them out - turn out the lights.
But can you imagine how it would feel
if I could - if I could - if I could turn out the lights...

Thanks for adding a thoughtful lyric from an underrated band. You had it almost right. According to their own lyric sheet, these are the lyrics:

"Can you imagine what it would be like
if for just one minute I could turn out the lights
and go back to the days when all of us were younger
and so much stronger - free of any strife?
Please don't misunderstand me. It's not that I'm unhappy.
I've got no regrets - it's just a fantasy.
(chorus)
Do you know - do you know - do you know you'll never
Turn it out - turn it out - turn out the light
Yes, I know - yes, I know - yes, I know I'll never
Turn it out - turn it out - turn out the light.
But can you imagine how we'd all feel
if I could - if I could - if I could turn out the light…"
